Stengel bzw. Stamm: Niedergedrückt-kugelig; Scheitel spärlich filzig; Pflanzen bis 10 cm ∅, bis 5 cm hoch; Rippen ca. 13, durch geschlängelte, seichte Furchen und unregelmäßige Querbuchten in unbestimmt umschriebene, ineinanderfließende, flache, sanft gewölbte Höcker zerlegt; Areolen bis 2 cm entfernt, elliptisch, bis 5 mm lang, spärlich filzig; Stacheln oft ganz fehlend, oder 1—-3, gerade, pfriemlich, bis 2 cm lang, schwärzlich, bald vergrauend.
