Medizinisch:
Die Rindenabkochung wirkt antimikrobiell, sie wird bei Durchfall, Epilepsie und Malaria verwendet. Die Rinde wird auch alt Anthelminthikum bei Spulwürmern sowie zur Behandlung von Bluthochdruck, Diabetes und Geschlechtskrankheiten verwendet.
