Die Blätter sind giftig und auich die grünen Tomaten sind nicht gesund.
Toxizität> 100 g. Symptome sind Herzrhythmusstörungen, Bradykardie, Kolik, Krämpfe, Durchfall, Schwindel, Atemnot, Kopfschmerzen, Schleimhautentzündungen, Erbrechen und in riesigen Überdosierungen Atemzusammenbrechen.
