Stengel bzw. Stamm: Stengel meist blau angelaufen. Höhe 30 bis 50 cm.

Blüte: Kelchzipfel drei- bis vielrippig. Blumenkronenröhre am Grunde knieförmig-vorwärts-gekrümmt. Mittellappen der Unterlippe doppelt so gross wie die seitlichen. Kelchblättchen aus eiförmigem Grunde plötzlich schmal -pfriemlich oder zweispaltig, so lang wie die weissliche oder violette purpurgeaderte Blumenkrone; deren Lippen ungleich-spitz-gezähnelt. Staubfäden oberwärts kahl. Narbe braun oder rotbraun. Blütezeit Juni, Juli.

Vorkommen: Auf Feld-Mannstreu (Eryngium campestre) , am Rhein, Elsass, Baden; selten.
